SoDak Stump Removal makes it easy for you by offering two options for stump removal.
Option One-
Basic Stump Grinding
This service is budget friendly and is for basic stump grinding with cleanup, but no mulch disposal. The mulch will be left for the customer to dispose of. This option usually saves the customer approximately 50% over the premium services.
Option Two-
Premium Stump Grinding With Cleanup And Dirtwork
This service is complete, and takes all the hard work out of your schedule. We will properly grind out the stump, clean up the mulch, and then backfill with black dirt.
Depending on the size, grinding out a stump can produce a substantial amount of mulch. When a smaller stump is ground out, it can be back-filled with the mulch and dirt mixture, and seed will still take. However, on those large stumps, seed will NEVER take unless that stump mulch is removed and replaced with black dirt. In order for stump mulch to decompose, it consumes nitrogen, so new grass won't grow well, or at all if there is an excess of decaying mulch below it. Additionally, a sinkhole will develop if a large amount of grindings are left to decompose. It is my recommendation that any stump over 12'' in diameter have the grindings replaced with black dirt to avoid headaches later.
